Robins are synonymous with Christmas and the festive season. Whether you believe in the religious associations or not, the little birds are a delight with their smart red breasts and beady dark eyes.
We decided to organise a range of activities inspired by these characterful birds. Collaged robins were added to a wreath and 3D robins were moulded and cagouled out of clay.
The children explored texture, shape, pattern and form by using a range of textile materials, clay equipment and found objects. Bio glitter perked everything up and made the birds sparkle and sing!
