The contents of this bag will enable your child to learn about Textile art. They will discover the origins of many fabrics and how they can be used in different ways to create art. In particular, this bag will focus on the use of pompoms and their use in both textile and contemporary installation art.

Each bag contains an information sheet about Textile art, with tips and ideas for what to make, plus a range of materials that could be used to make their own wall hanging, banner, garland or sculpture.

As in our classes, we intend that the activity be open to interpretation too, so the materials could be used however your child/ren would like - let them enjoy the process and celebrate their creativity!

In addition to the information sheet, each bag will contain the following items: One calico banner, assorted fabrics (including a range of natural and synthetic fabrics of different colours and textures), assorted ribbons, assorted buttons, wool, a pompom maker, felt balls, wire, a bundle of craft matchsticks, a small bag of white clay and a small pot of Marven Medium glue.

The children will need to have their own pair of sharp scissors.

*Please note that we do not recommend this bag for children under the age of 5 due to the small parts included.
